It's time to take a trip to deep space, movie lovers! In this episode, we take a look at the mid-90s sci-fi schlock-fest, Stargate. Richard thinks this movie is too good for our "Summer Camp" series (Leasha disagrees), but we both agree it's a good guilty pleasure time travel adventure. Take a walk with us through the Stargate as we discuss Jackson's passion for ancient cultures, O'Neil's no-nonsense leadership, the military goons, the language barriers, Ra's fierceness, and the problems with Jackson's future on a rudimentary planet. EVERYONE!!! We are back with a new episode, and this time, we dive into the 90s action arthouse film "Leon: The Professional" (or whatever your territory decided to call it). We follow along with the dynamic, yet complicated, duo of cleaner Leon and vengeful, young Matilda as they hunt down crooked cop Stansfield (an exquisite Gary Oldman). We'll discuss Leon's childlike sensibility, Matilda's many traumas, Oldman's ad libs, the sweeping score, the controversies, the French style, and more. So join us as we open the door on this bloody, but still brilliant film.

"Get busy livin' or get busy dying."  Join us as we take a deep dive into the modern classic "The Shawshank Redemption." Despite winning NO Oscars, this film stands the test of time with its hopeful message and compelling characters. It's a beautiful story with a beautiful score, standout performances, and masterful direction. If you haven't seen it, watch before listening. Do not let this one get spoiled for you!
